出発の日

 

今日からとうとう、200日間に及ぶミドルキングダムの冒険に旅立ちます！！このアイデアを半年くらい前に思い付いて、今日ついにそのアイデアを行動に移します。めっちゃワクワクです。

 

去年一年間は、北京大学燕京学堂(Yenching Academy of Peking University)という修士プログラムで、国際関係と政治学を勉強していました。自分のパッションはアジアにおけるより持続可能な平和を構築することなので、これまでも長い間、国際関係を勉強してきました。アジアの様々な国際問題について勉強とか議論をしたり、実際に関係のある場所にも行ったりしました。前までは、外交官か何かにでもなって、アジアにある根深くて難しい問題について働いたりするかなと思っていました。そういう問題を解決することが、アジアにおけるより安定的で平和的な国際関係をつくるためにすごく重要だと思ったからです。

 

でも、考え方を変えました。というのは、問題に対するアプローチの仕方とか自分の目標を達成するための道程を変えました。

 

自分は今日から「冒険家」になります。「ミドルキングダム」という未知の世界を冒険して、新しい道を切り開いて、新しい地図を描きます。

 

なんでかというと、まずはやっぱり楽しいことがしたいからです！(色々な対立とか問題に飽きてきたのもあります笑)

 

でも、ただ楽しいだけにはしません。自分はこれをクリエイティブで、意味があって、願わくば良い変化を起こせるものにしたいと思っています。

 

ツーリズム/観光を使って、ミドルキングダムの未知の部分を紹介して、もっと多くの日本人にここを旅してもらって、もっと深い相互理解を進めたいと思っています。よりバランスのとれた相手への見方/パブリックオピニオンは、より強い民間の関係をつくるのに不可欠だし、それはより強い国際関係をつくるためにも重要です。

 

正直言って、ミドルキングダムを理解するのはすごく難しいです。すごい大都市があれば貧困の村もあるし、広大な砂漠があれば険しい雪山もあるし、超良い人もいれば超ウザい人もいます。でもだからこそ、ミドルキングダムを冒険するのはすごく楽しいです。いつもすごいことからやばいことまでいろいろあります。

 

ただ、自分が100％保証できるのは、ミドルキングダムには超キレイな場所がめちゃくちゃいっぱいあるということです。でもそのほとんどはまだまだ全然知られていません。

 

だから、そういう超キレイな場所を見つけてみんなと共有して、そしてその先に平和をつくれるように、自分はこの冒険の旅に出ます。

 

この「ミドルキングダムの冒険」プロジェクトには、いくつかの目標があります:

★ミドルキングダムにある全ての省に行く(自治区とかも含めて全部で33)

★ミドルキングダムにある全てのユネスコ世界遺産に行く(全部で55個あって、世界1位！)

★ミドルキングダムで絶対行くべき場所トップ50以上に行く(自分はミドルキングダムにある観光地をめちゃくちゃ調べて、160以上の観光都市をリストアップしました。そして、その中からミドルキングダムで絶対に行くべき場所トップ100を選びました。今回は時間の関係でトップ100全部には行けないかもだけど、可能な限り多く行って、少なくとも50以上は行きます)

 

まあそんな感じです。

とりあえず、自分としてはミドルキングダムについていろいろシェアしたり、みんなのために新しい地図を描くつもりです。ただ、結局そこからはミドルキングダムが何で、どんな感じなのかとかはあまりわからないと思います。

なので、もしミドルキングダムについて知りたければ、ぜひ実際に自分でこの地に来て経験してみてください。

Day of Departure

 

Super excited that I’m departing for 200 Days Adventure in the Middle Kingdom today.

 

I came up with this plan and project almost half a year ago and finally today I’m taking my idea into an action!

 

For the last one year, I studied International Relations and Politics at the master program called the Yenching Academy of Peking University in Beijing. I have been studying these subjects for long as my passion is to make a more sustainable peace in Asia.

 

I learnt about international issues in Asia, discussed a lot about them, and visited some of related places.

 

I thought I would become a diplomat or something to work on deep-rooted difficult issues because solving such issues is extremely important to make a more stable and peaceful international relations in Asia.

 

But, I changed my mind. I mean I changed my way of approaching the issues and achieving my goal.

 

I’m gonna become ‘an adventurer’ from today. I explore the unknown land of the Middle Kingdom, pave a new way, and draw a new map.

 

Why? Because I want to do something fun!! (I’m getting tired of all the tensions or issues or whatever too hahaha)

 

But this won’t be just fun. This will be creative, meaningful, and hopefully impactful.

 

I’m trying to use tourism to show unknown side of the Middle Kingdom, attract more Japanese people to visit here, and promote deeper mutual understanding. I believe more nuanced public opinion would be critical in promoting stronger civilian relations, which is also important in promoting stronger international relations.

 

To be honest, the Middle Kingdom is such a difficult place to understand. It has super big cities to very poor villages, it has vast dessert to huge snow peaks, and it has super nice people to very annoying people. But this is why Adventure in the Middle Kingdom is so much fun. You always find something great and crazy.

 

But, I can 100% guarantee that the Middle Kingdom has a bunch of super beautiful destinations. And many of them are not really recognized by people yet.

That’s why I’m embarking on this adventure to find and share beautiful destinations, and then make peace!

 

There are some goals in this Middle Kingdom Adventure Project:

★I will visit all the provinces in the Middle Kingdom (including autonomous regions and so on)

★I will visit all the UNESCO world heritage sites in the Middle Kingdom (55 sites, No.1 in the world!)

★I will visit at least top 50 must-visit destinations in the Middle Kingdom (I did a thorough research about all the attractive destinations in the Middle Kingdom, listed up more than 160 touristic cities, and selected top 100 must-visit cities out of that. Due to time shortage, I can’t visit all top 100, but I will visit as many as possible and it’s gonna be more than 50 for sure)
